We’re excited that you want to work with Shanti Bhavan.
ANNOUNCEMENT: We’re excited to announce a new volunteer position on campus! Shanti Bhavan is looking for an experienced photographer or videographer to serve as a media volunteer, helping to gather content for our website and social media platforms. Unlike the teaching volunteer position, the minimum length of stay for a media volunteer is two weeks. Please send a resume, a cover letter, and a sample of previous work to [email protected] if interested in volunteering during our spring semester.
Volunteer positions at Shanti Bhavan are highly competitive and are given out based on merit, with additional preference given to early applicants. Please complete the entire application below, and expect a 4-8 week processing time.
Shanti Bhavan recruits volunteers with the understanding that almost always at some point in time, due to a variety of unpredictable situations, you will be uncomfortable – whether it’s due to food, conditions, time, culture, etc. The children of Shanti Bhavan have experienced extreme trauma and difficulties. Whether it is domestic and/or sexual violence and/or abuse, loss of immediate family/friends or being a victim of, or directly affected by racism/discrimination, these children have experienced some form of crisis. Please carefully consider how you may deal with these feelings.
The Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, origin, age, sex, religion, handicap, gender, or sexual preference. All information will be held confidential unless specified otherwise.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Shanti Bhavan! We are excited to learn more about your experiences, please note that thorough responses will be given preference and incomplete applications will be discarded. Only successful candidates will be contacted for first round interviews.
