After watching the Netflix documentary Daughters of Destiny in 2017, I knew I had to get involved and wasted no time, volunteering on-site just months later, working alongside students from 2nd to 7th Grade. That experience left a lasting impression, and my passion for Shanti Bhavan’s mission has only grown since.
The school’s power to break the cycle of generational poverty through education is something I hold close to my heart, and the extraordinary community that has been built around it is truly special.
I have 13 years’ experience in the disability sector, as a speech pathologist and team lead, across Australia and Bahrain. I’m thrilled to channel that knowledge into the Australian chapter and help carry this meaningful work forward.
