I joined Shanti Bhavan’s full-time team after a transformative year on campus as the Onsite Administrator at Shanti Bhavan 1, where I supported daily operations and helped nurture our students’ growth. I also helped launch Shanti Bhavan 2, spending a month with our newest children as they took their first steps into this life-changing journey. Some of my most cherished moments include meaningful conversations about values, teaching leadership classes, spontaneous dance parties with our littlest students, and building relationships with the dedicated onsite team that makes our mission possible. Supporting these bright, compassionate children deepened my belief in the power of education to break the cycle of poverty.
Now, as the Community Engagement Officer, I help strengthen connections across our global Shanti Bhavan family, including volunteers, supporters, and our campus community. A significant part of my role is dedicated to our alumni, and I have the privilege of supporting our college students and graduates as they navigate life beyond campus. Whether it’s helping them move into college, offering encouragement during a challenging semester, or guiding them through job searches, I’m committed to helping each one thrive. Having witnessed the extraordinary potential of our youngest students all the way through to our graduates, I know without a doubt that with access, opportunity, and education, all children can achieve remarkable things.
Before joining Shanti Bhavan, I served as the Managing Director of English Musicals Korea, an arts education organization in South Korea that teaches English and values through theatre. I’m passionate about creating environments where young people feel empowered, seen, and supported—whether in a classroom, on a stage, or across an ocean. I’ve dedicated my career to helping children and young adults access transformative educational experiences that not only empower them to succeed but also shape them into kind, thoughtful individuals.
At the heart of everything I do is a belief that meaningful change begins with relationships. Whether mentoring students, supporting alumni, or engaging with our global community, I’m committed to helping every Shanti Bhavan child feel empowered to reach their full potential and be ready to change the world.
