Each year we receive 500+ applications for 28 seats at our residential school. To expand the impact of our work and reach more underserved children, we are building a second Shanti Bhavan School. 

Our goal is to open the doors of Shanti Bhavan’s second school (Shanti Bhavan 2) to a new set of preschool students in June 2024.

What you receive: A tile that lives on the Founding Friend wall on the Shanti Bhavan 2 campus. You can dedicate the tile to an individual or group, as well as write a short message.

About Us

Shanti Bhavan

Shanti Bhavan is a residential school for socioeconomically disadvantaged children in India. Our school has been featured in the Netflix docuseries Daughters of Destiny, as well as on the Discovery Channel and ABC World News, and in books and periodicals such as Thomas Friedman’s The World Is Flat. Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty for India’s most disenfranchised children by providing them with a complete holistic education. Our intervention begins at the age of four and continues through college and into their careers with companies such as Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and Mercedes-Benz.
