I bring over 16 years of experience in social development and corporate social responsibility to Shanti Bhavan Educational Trust. My decision to join Shanti Bhavan came from a deeply personal calling when I first witnessed the confidence, intelligence, and positive energy of the children, I felt compelled to dedicate myself to this mission of breaking cycles of poverty through education.
I hold an Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication, along with Master’s degrees in Business Administration (Human Resource Management), Psychology, and Social Work and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Social Work. This diverse background allows me to combine technical knowledge with a deep understanding of human development.
Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of contributing to programs that have positively impacted more than 100,000 lives across India. I have led pan-India CSR initiatives with Amazon, spearheaded education and skill development programs with Cognizant Foundation, and transformed 638 government schools. In my early years with CARE India and MAMTA Health Institute, I had the privilege of working on initiatives in livelihood development, women’s empowerment, health, gender equality, and adolescent mental health in urban communities.
As a certified counsellor and psychotherapist with more than 7,000 hours of one-on-one experience, I strongly believe in addressing both academic and emotional well-being. To me, true transformation comes when education is paired with care, dignity, and compassion.
At Shanti Bhavan, I see my role not as leading change, but as humbly supporting and amplifying the extraordinary work already being done by this community of changemakers. I am deeply honored to walk alongside the children, educators, and partners of Shanti Bhavan in building stories of transformation that will echo through generations.
