Deanielle Dawra

Development Officer

I started working for Shanti Bhavan in 2023 because I was so inspired and amazed by the sustainable impact the organization is creating for children. I have always been passionate about making our world a better place, especially for children. Having worked for the non-profit and government sectors my entire career, I know first-hand there are so many worthy causes I can contribute my time and energy to. The reason I decided to commit to Shanti Bhavan is because of the way it approaches socio-economic development.

The model Shanti Bhavan is using to break the cycle of poverty is empowering children and their families for a lifetime, changing the trajectory of their lives. This is something I am very proud to be part of.

As a Development Officer at Shanti Bhavan, I interact daily with our supporters around the world so that together we can create lasting change!

Originally from Colorado, I consider myself a global citizen, having lived in seven countries. I am passionate about traveling and learning languages. I hold a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Master of Public Policy from the National University of Singapore. I have worked on empowering and protecting vulnerable children with UNICEF, the State of Qatar, the Peace Corps, and smaller non-profit organizations.
